Surviving Snowmagedon As A Neighborhood

Take a look at the designated snow routes for our area. City crews will clear RED roads first, then BLUE, and after those are done, side streets.

TOP TIPS:

  • Park off street if you can. It beats shoveling plowed snow and assists plow drivers in getting streets cleared more quickly.

  • Try to keep fire hydrants visible and clear, for safety's sake.

  • We may not have school until Monday after the snow hits. But let's try to keep sidewalks clear for schoolkids, walkers, and letter carriers.

  • Please consider using “paw safe” snow and ice melt on the public sidewalks for our four legged neighbors.

  • Work together to keep alleys open. Trash pickup has been bad already, clogged alleys and streets will make it worse.

  • This is a good time to check with neighbors who may need some help with snow removal or a last minute grocery run.

  • Take frequent breaks when shoveling and remember to stay hydrated!

  • In the event of down power lines, do not approach, call 911 immediately.

  • Power outages should be reported to AEP.

  • Downed trees blocking public roadways may be reported to 311.

Stay warm and safe neighbors!
