Improvements Headed Our Way
One of our most important partnerships is with the Packard Area Planning Alliance (PAPA). At tonight’s PAPA meeting, infrastructure improvement projects were unveiled, a few of which are in our neck of the woods. More specifically, we can expect to see the following:
A button activated flashing pedestrian crossing sign at W. Sherwood Terrace & Fairfield.
The large cobra style lighting fixtures along Fairfield between Rudisill & Pettit will be replaced with Town & Country style pedestrian sized lighting at align with CPTED standards.
The missing section of sidewalk along Lexington Woods will be installed.
We will share more information about these projects as they become available to us.
Board members Steve McCord and Sierah Barnhart (who also chair positions for PAPA) used this meeting to advocate for better communication with City Utilities related to the closing of Old Mill and any future projects in and around our area. If you’re interested in volunteering, now is a great time to get involved with PAPA. You’re welcome to do as much or as little as you’re able.
