Sidewalk inventory & Tree Watering
One of the best features of our neighborhood is its walkability and we want that to remain true for generations to come. While the City of Fort Wayne was able to shave down a large chunk of our trip hazards, some were too large to be shaved down and other blocks are cracked and crumbling. Being able to keep track of our sidewalks needs in an easy to read and shareable format will help us prioritize which areas to tackle first. These two Beautification Committee volunteers, Cherish & Trent of Arlington Ave, have agreed to take on the monumental task of cataloguing our sidewalks using My Maps by Google. Once complete, we can then share the collected data with residents and our elected officials to help us advocate for replacement.
Two more Arlington Ave Residents and Beautification Committee volunteers, Megan & Olivia, have agreed to water our newly installed London Plane trees in the Beaver and Westover park strip.
So if you see these volunteers out and about, be sure say hello and thank them for their dedication to the neighborhood!
