Pet Problems?
1) Please pick up after your dog when you're out on walks. According to Animal Care & Control, a timely photograph of an owner allowing their dog to leave feces behind in your yard has been known to result in a timely $50 citation.
2) Please pick up after your pets in your own yard, too. Feces left in yards is a food source for rats. If you encounter an on-going problem concerning sanitation, report the concern to Animal Care & Control at 260-427-1244 or 311.
3) According to code, “Noisy Dog” defined: no person shall allow an animal to bark, yelp, whine, howl, or make sounds common to its species in excess, continuously for 15 minutes or for a total of 20 minutes in a one-hour period.
4) Dogs should be leashed at all times. Do not allow your dogs to roam, or chase after other animals or people.
5) The Association shares MANY lost pet posts on social media. Accidents happen, but keep your fences in good condition and make sure you have your pets microchipped and tagged.
6) Roaming cats are also an issue. Cats use neighbors' flower beds as litter boxes.
7) Bird feeders are popular, but they also attract rodents when they spill. Try choosing plants that double as food sources for birds.
