Flamingo Fridays

Are you interested in hosting a Flamingo Friday? You can make these events whatever you want them to be. You can provide all the food and drinks or it can be a pitch in and BYOB kinda party. Want to be kid free for the evening? You can do that too! Interested? Email Board Member Nadine Rager at nadinerage@gmail.com.

Roundabout Cleanup Day Cancelled!

Our gardening angels have cleared out the roundabout and we no longer have a need for volunteers. Thank you for your interest!

Park & Play on Arlington Avenue Grant

We’ve made some progress on the project by dismantling the old bench, locating utilities and planting 100 Virginia bluebell bare root plants. The north and south curbs have also been painted in an effort to reduce the number of accidents on this block.

Up next is applying for the encroachment permit for the new benches and scheduling a work day to assemble and install the benches!

Neighborhood Flag

We’ve received a new shipment of our 3 x 5 double sided neighborhood flags. Each flag has gromets along the side for easy flying. They also have improved color as compared to our last shipment. Use this form to order your flag. After we receive your payment, your flag will be delivered by Board Member Charlotte Tompkins.

$2,500 in Outstanding Dues

While the majority of residents have made sure to pay their annual dues, we still have approximately 45 outstanding invoices. The final notices for these invoices were sent on May 11, 2023. If you have misplaced this notice or need to confirm or make a payment please contact Above & Beyond Community Management at 260.490.2226 for further details.

If you are struggling to pay this and/or other bills, please consider contacting 211 so that you may be connected with supportive community resources.

Failure to pay your dues now will result in a significantly higher bill should it be sent to collections.

Street Tree Audit

We’ve continued on with our street tree audit to identify possible planting locations within the neighborhood for a street tree. The green trees on the map indicate a planting location that has been submitted for planting in 2023.

The yellow trees on the map indicate a planting location that we plan to submit to the City of Fort Wayne in 2024. By default the Board of Directors will request a tree species native to Indiana. If you’d like a particular species, please reach out to us with your request. Species requests will be relayed to the City of Fort Wayne but cannot be guarantied. If your home is listed as a yellow tree and you are not interested in us paying for a street tree for you, please contact us as soon as possible.

There are still a couple of sections left to audit. Board Member Christine Baron will be finishing up this audit for us. Be sure to wave and say hello if you see her out and about!

Dumpster Day

We plan to host another dumpster day this fall. Please keep your eye out for a date in the near future.

If you’re available to volunteer to monitor the dumpster for a two to four hour shift, please reach out to us. We could always use more volunteers!
