Vote YES to Repair FWCS
The Historic Southwood Park Board of Directors unanimously encourages neighbors to vote YES in this June’s Fort Wayne Community Schools repair referendum. Just like we have to repair our homes on a regular basis, our schools need updates and repairs. Quality schools influence and stabilize our property values – so we all have a positive stake in the outcome. In 2012 and 2016, FWCS voters approved repair tax levies in the first two parts of a three-part plan to improve all our schools. Both times, FWCS managed to keep costs below budget and has made great progress updating mechanical systems, safety designs, and made classrooms better places to learn. Because older loans are being paid off, this new loan will not raise the current FWCS property tax rate, so let's get it done! Learn more on the issue at www.RepairFWCS2020.com.
Now, it’s up to us to vote! You can request a ballot before midnight May 21 at
