The Word on Christmas Trees

Considering a fresh-cut Christmas Tree this year?  Take a look at the Oakdale Neighborhood Association Christmas Tree sale. It is at the corner of Rudisill Boulevard and South Wayne Avenue. Saturday 10-6, Sunday 12-6, weekdays 5-8.  It's nearby and helps support our neighbors to the north. And what do you do with your no-so-fresh tree after Christmas?  Put it to the curb?  No, it won't be picked up.  Dump it in in the woods?  No, unless you want the Grinch to visit your house next year.  Take it to Foster Park West for recycling? YES! Remove ornaments and lights. Sorry, no wreaths. Both of these are short drives.  It couldn't be easier for folks in Southwood Park to enjoy a fresh tree!
