Association Hires Above & Beyond Community Management - 2014 Association Invoices Have Been Mailed and Are Due May 1st.
The Board of Directors has hired Above & Beyond Community Management to handle the financial affairs of the Association.Over the past few years, the job of association treasurer has become more complex. The job takes more time than should be expected of a volunteer. Keeping the books, sending and receiving dues notices, and answering realtor’s requests for homeowner association letters take a great deal of time. The Board appreciates the time and effort that our treasurers—Cheryl McCarthy, Charles Northrop, Steve Nagy, and John Kowalczyk—have sacrificed to do the job.Above & Beyond will send mailings, collect and deposit dues payments, maintain the ownership records of the association, answer requests for dues information, and pay bills at the Board’s direction. Since Above & Beyond is open regular business hours, all these tasks will get prompt attention. Our new mailing address is: Historic Southwood Park, c/o Above & Beyond Management, 507 Airport North Office Park, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.The Board expects that dues delinquencies will decrease under this new arrangement. Above & Beyond will send follow-up notices to owners who forget to pay on time. And should the need arise, Above & Beyond will send accounts to a lawyer for collection. The costs of collection will be passed to the delinquent homeowners, as allowed in our covenants. It is a matter of fairness that each homeowner pay what they owe.Dues for 2014 are $42.00. The $3.50 increase will pay for financial management.
