One August 2012 Southwood Park Award Home Is Not a Basket Case

Kay and Fred Kohler of 910 Pasadena are experts at Nantucket basket weaving.  They travel throughout the east and midwest teaching the craft.  Despite all the time spent on their wonderful baskets, they also make time to tend to improvements and gardening at home.  Living for 43 years in one place means lots of both.  Two years ago, the house got a major exterior redo, prompting a second time the Award Home sign has graced this yard.   The house is a pleasure to view.  The gardens are a constant, always colorful and well tended.

Like many other homeowners here, Fred and Kay have raised a new generation of Southwood Park homeowners. Their daughter's home is just a few blocks away.  There's no better testament to a love of neighborhood than that. --- Pat Thomson
