Fort Wayne Lemonade Day
From the Lemonade Day local organizers:Lemonade Day provides K-12 students with the education they need to start, own, and operate their very own lemonade stands. Youth learn to create budgets, secure investors, select sites, serve customers, set profit-making goals, repay loans, and give back to the community. For many young people, Lemonade Day is their first experience earning money and opening bank accounts. Lemonade Day sets youth on a path of financial management and goal setting that will continue throughout their lives.Lemonade Day Fort Wayne will be held on May 12th, 2012, and we need your help to reach our goal to reach 1500 youth and their families. Lemonade Day is a great way to connect learning to the world of work. Lemonade Day provides free materials that support students’ academic achievement. Our educational materials move beyond textbooks to help students apply academics to the basics of starting a business. Students gain knowledge and skills in business, personal finance, and entrepreneurship. Lemonade Day also engages parents and other caring adults in the learning process.
A registration event on will be April 27th at the Summit (1025 W. Rudisill Blvd.) from 3:00-6:00pm. Please come register to receive your FREE Backpack!
