The home and garden tour will introduce participants to the outstanding design and architecture of historic Southwood Park. A free lecture by a nationally known historic preservation specialist will discuss the early 20th century suburban developments and architecture in the United States, and the importance of Fort Wayne’s historic neighborhoods. Following the lecture, a fundraising event will include an intimate reception with the speaker and on-site discussion and advice at a current restoration project in Southwood Park. Both the reception and the home tour will raise funds for projects to protect, restore, and highlight the heritage of Southwood Park and other parts of the community, for future generations to enjoy.
